Wild Horse Workshop by Kitty & Rick Lauman

Wild Horse Workshop
Kitty & Rick Lauman

This is a video of a demonstration that Lauman Training conducted at the Wild Horse Workshop in Grants Pass, Oregon. This video shows what you can achieve when you ask the horse to work with you instead of trying to force them.

Kitty Lauman started her career as a horse trainer at the tender age of nine, under the guidance of her grandfather, John Sharp. She later became a top Pee Wee and High School Rodeo contestant, competing in barrel racing and cutting, among other events. Despite her mother's assertion that "horse training isn't a real job," Kitty managed to make a living as a trainer after high school (and her mom now helps out with the business!) Kitty won the title of Miss Rodeo Oregon in 1994, and since then, has continued to expand her horse training knowledge and experience. As part of the Lauman Training program, she starts colts for Darren Stancik of Stancik Quarter Horses,a noteworthy barn that was home to champion AQHA reiners Jac Daniels Neat and Chocolate Chic O'lena.

This title is in the following categories:

Natural Horse Training
Wild Horse/Mustang
